Kelly & Ken's Fall Wedding at the Lageret

Kelly and Ken (or K-squared, as we lovingly began to refer to them) had such a beautiful approach to the overall design and feel of their wedding: they simply wanted to create a cozy, vibrant environment where they could surround themselves with the love and warmth of their guests. And considering the fact that these two are vibrant, energetic balls of fun themselves, all we had to do was focus on the cozy part!

Designing this wedding for K-squared all started with Kelly’s love for orange. Her directive to us when building her Design Proposal was simply “I don’t really care about much in the design, and I trust you girls (music to our ears!), I just want to be sure that orange is part of the design.

Well, you can be sure we took those instructions and ran with them! We took the orange directive and spun it into a really fun fall color palette of navy, orange, teal, and blush tones – a palette which may sound somewhat eye-searing, but when paired with the setting sun, a light rain and warm lighting, really created a welcoming wedding environment!

We loved working with the amazingly talented Jamae to design this stunning ceremony backdrop, and had a blast using rented farm tables and navy and teal linens to create a cozy and eclectic dinner space. We topped it all off with a custom made donut wall, spunky vintage furniture, gorgeous bouquets and their signature “K2” in marquee lights, and the party atmosphere was complete!
