Today marks three weeks since we first launched Elevate. Woohoo!
These past three weeks have been a whirlwind of projects, meetings and emails, but we couldn’t be more thrilled with how it has all gone so far. On top of the general chaos that is starting a new business, we also went flat-out insane and scheduled our very first Styled Shoot less than a month after opening our business. Say what!?
You may be asking yourself – what exactly is a Styled Shoot? To be honest, we hadn’t really heard the term until we joined the industry. Well, it is exactly as it sounds – a photo shoot that is styled. Many different kinds of vendors will captain a Styled Shoot – florists may want to feature their creativity, photographers may have a new lens to feature, or event designers (us!) will wish to show off their ability to create a gorgeous and on-trend vignette. For us, it was a combination of our desire to put our skills to the test and a basic need to add beautiful design to our portfolio! Needless to say, a styled shoot was a no-brainer for our blossoming business.
To plan this shoot, we first dreamed up our theme, “Boho Luxe in Love.” Our next undertaking was finalizing the key elements – photographer, venue and rentals. Then – the fun began – the lovely details! We had SO much fun finalizing all aspects of this shoot and can’t wait for you to see it come together.
More than anything, however, we probably had the most fun getting to know local vendors and their products. We were absolutely thrilled with their talents, professionalism and merchandise, and wanted to give them a special shout out for all of their help thus far.
Here are the amazing vendors we have been working with for our upcoming Styled Shoot – Boho Luxe in Love:
The Lageret
This is a brand new venue in Stoughton and people, it. is. stunning. The Lageret used to house eight different businesses, but after some creativity, determination and months and months of hard work, manager Jamae Ramsden has transformed it into one cohesive and amazing venue. We’re so excited to see a wedding take place here and anticipate lots of interest, so book here quickly!
Flora by Jamae
Jamae also owns and runs her floral studio out of Stoughton, and man, this lady is an expert when it comes to anything floral or green. An added bonus – Jamae has tons of beautiful vases and jars for arrangements and loves to get creative!
Maison Meredith Photography
Maison and Caleb have been phenomenal supporters from our very inception (and even before!) so turning to them for our shoot was an obvious choice. These two are taking the Madison wedding world by storm and are consistently amazing us with their talents. In a nutshell, these photos are going to ROCK, you guys.
A La Crate
Sarah and Jeff, can we rent your entire inventory?! This place is seriously a creative’s paradise – with shelves upon shelves of vintage wares and a rockin’ staff, this is a must-stop for any event designer.
Event Essentials
Event Essentials is the perfect complement to ALC’s vintage finds. Here, you can find all of the basics – furniture, linens, flatware and vases galore! They recently added a bunch of marvelous new inventory to their shelves – and we were sure to scoop some of it up! Stay tuned!
Monirose Bespoke Gowns
Monica is truly a visionary. When we initially asked her to provide us with a boho-inspired wedding gown with a luxurious twist, we knew it was a tall order. After stopping by her (adorable) studio and witnessing the level of detail put into every single gown, however, we knew we’d find a gown sure to impress. And boy oh boy, did we ever. Just you wait!
MSCO Patisserie
Three words: Prettiest desserts EVER. The meticulous detail put into every single pastry at MSCo Patisserie is extraordinary. They’re French-inspired desserts are both delicious AND easy on the eyes (not to mention the staff was such a “treat” to work with!). We are so excited to feature this recently-opened pastry shop in our shoot – and can’t wait to see their wedding cake collection!
Andra Delores Design
Andra Barkey of Andra Delores Design is based out of Minneapolis and provides stationary services to the Midwest and beyond! Not only is she crazy talented when it comes to stationary but she is probably the sweetest vendor we’ve worked with to date and SO on top of her game. Once we provided her with our inspiration for this shoot she was off to the races – and the finished products she created are uber-glam and so on trend – just you wait!
We also want to give a HUGE shoutout to:
- Amy & Drew Kiefer for stepping up to the plate as our models for the shoot. Wait until you see these two – they’re SUCH a good looking pair!
- Maria Burud for providing her makeup skills. This girl has some KILLER skills when it comes to a smokey eye and a red lip.
Stay tuned everyone because “Boho Luxe In Love” is right around the corner! Let’s just say, tomorrow will be a super busy yet fun-filled day. Follow us on Instagram at elevate.events for updates!
Oh and…GO BADGERS!
