You two took everyone’s breath away - not only with your gorgeous nuptials and the intentional details sprinkled throughout the entire weekend, but in your steadfast love and clear commitment to supporting and loving one another. Today our entire team comes together to coordinate a wedding over a year in the making. The level of planning it has taken to transform a private property into a wedding venue has been next level. The styling and details so intentionally considered and curated; and the miles covered from then until now enormous. To say we are excited and proud to see all of this come together is the epitome of an understatement. We are elated, absolutely thrilled for T&W, anxious to see all of our hard work come together, and joyfully exhausted after nearly a full week of installs already behind us. We are Eve, Kelsie, Kirstie, Mallory, Katie, and Renee; but today, we are one. We are Elevate Events, high-end and detail-oriented wedding planners, and we are damn proud of it. We had our first chance at working with the iconic red doors of Grace Episcopal and the stunning architecture of the Overture Center this past weekend. It’s funny: when a couple’s style blends so perfectly with the classic styles of the venues, the day unfolds so harmoniously you hardly recall what the place looked like without the wedding details. We cannot WAIT to share more from L&A’s day with you. A PLANNER’S WORST NIGHTMARE BECAME A REALITY. 24 hours before we were to begin load in for L&A’s swanky, summery, easy breezy and BEAUTIFUL wedding day (which was planned to the T and looking to be a calm, carefree day), I began to hear strange news clips regarding an explosion, fires, and power outages affecting the entire downtown area of Madison. After thinking for a moment about the places affected, it hit me: my bride and groom were spending the ENTIRETY of their wedding weekend downtown, and literally every aspect of their wedding was affected by this outage. You can check out our stories for more, but at the end of the day, because I am able to sit here, debrief and write this horror story, it all just hit me like a ton of bricks: this is EXACTLY the scenario every client completely dreads, and the moment where I got to be everything a planner needs to be for their clients. Tomorrow is going to be a gorgeous day - there may be little flaws or it may go perfectly, but I know now more than I ever have that my job is important, it is calming, and darn is it ever fulfilling. L&A, let’s freaking get you two married, shall we?! -m (Special thanks needs to go out to @overturecenter and @cateringafresco for their incredible communication and quick thinking. Flipping a ceremony space ➡️ reception: a serious labor of love but always so, so worth it. 😍 If you have found a space you love for BOTH your ceremony and dinner, why not make it work for the entire event? When Emily and Griffin saw the gorgeous architecture of the barn at @boxedandburlap with the stunning nature views behind, it was a no brainer: they were using the same space for the entire party. 😍 Flipping a space is also no joke, though. It took a team of over TEN people, working their tails off for 40 minutes, and LOTS of coordination and planning to make this a reality. Bottom line - if you’re flipping, you NEED a planner, and a really solid team to achieve the dream!
