Looking back on Taylor & Jeffrey’s Modern Botanical Wedding day, the themes of family, flowers and fashion all come to the forefront.
These two were so intentional about every choice throughout their entire planning process. From handwritten notes placed at every guests’ setting, to selecting delicious cocktails and entrees, even down to setting aside specific moments within the timeline to honor their families and loved ones, these two epitomized what it means to throw a celebration completely true to you, while keeping your guests’ experiences front of mind.
Taylor and her best ladies spent the morning being pampered at the swanky Renaissance Hotel. Shortly after hair and makeup was completed, Taylor changed into her stunning Galia Lahav gown, shared a touching few moments with her mother, sister, and best friends, then boarded the bus to be whisked to her new soon-to-be-husband for formal portraits at the gorgeous Milwaukee Art Museum. We then transported the entire crew to The Gage, where Taylor & Jeff’s meticulously dressed guests waited in the wings, under a full ceiling of flowers, for their incredibly moving ceremony, presided over by the illustrious Pastor Marlon Locke.
Throughout the entire planning process, we focused on ways to infuse Taylor & Jeff’s impeccable style into each and every element of the event design. From their handmade, custom letterpress invitations by Plume Calligraphy, to their perfectly styled place settings, complete with sleek black plates, botanical menus and elegant glassware, and finally down to Taylor & Jeffrey’s wedding day fashion (can we just take a minute for Jeffrey’s custom Vogue Tailors suit!?) we found ways to incorporate T&J into pretty much every aspect of their wedding day, ensuring a cohesive experience, and KILLER party!
Finally, we cannot look back on this incredible day without discussing: the FLOWERS! Taylor’s vision of a “modern botanical garden” was most definitely a project that required a LOT of logistics and manpower to pull off, but goodness, thanks to the incredible team at Briar Loft, pull it off we did! Creating the unforgettable entrance, ceremony space and reception design that we did will surely go down as one of our most prideful moments of 2022!
