Annie & Aaron's Santa Barbara-Inspired Reception

Annie & Aaron came to us hoping to create a magical, Midwestern wedding convocation and reception, to celebrate one year of marriage after an intimate elopement at San Ysidro Ranch.

Building this day and design was a wonderful test of both flexibility and creativity. Marrying Annie’s impeccable style, the turning of the season here in Wisconsin, and their Santa Barbara delights and Midwestern roots, we helped them ideate and produce a really unique, opulent affair – all while planning completely remotely! With the help of one pretty incredible team and a whole lot of determination, we pulled off an amazing celebration at the Grain Exchange in downtown Milwaukee, just over one year after their beautiful wedding day (and with two new additions in tow). 🙂

Combining their love of the Santa Barbara sunsets, a nod to their San Ysidro nuptials, and Annie’s love for the finer details, we collaborated to design a gorgeous reception space, complete with gingko-patterned napkins, gold-rimmed glassware, mother-of-pearl flatware and a beautifully detailed dance floor and surroundings. Thanks to the magical touch of the team at Life in Bloom, the grand centerpieces, pin spotting and candlelight helped give the room a magnificent glow; a perfect representation of exactly how Aaron & Annie radiated throughout their entire day.
