“Wait wait wait, these ladies are event planners – and they’re launching a clothing line?!”
We get it – we had many moments where imposter syndrome took over and we feared that this could feel like a bit of a record scratch moment, too. But you know what is so, SO magical and freeing? Simply taking a dream and GOING for it, regardless of what others might think. We encourage you to try it.
Because let’s be honest for a minute here: these past couple of years, everything has felt like the opposite of predictable, right?! From wedding postponements to job layoffs, to new babies and fresh opportunities, we have been feeling all of the effects, and have been riding that roller coaster right alongside all of you! While this season of change has been difficult in so many ways, we’ve realized that it has also brought out a core value in all of us: stay true to you, be unabashedly committed to your personal beliefs, and dangit, even if it feels a bit risky, GO for it.
So… WENT FOR IT we did!
Late last year, we reached out to Tori of LMC Boutique, a fellow boss babe and a woman we’ve deeply admired for quite some time, and told her about our crazy idea. Thankfully, she was on board right from the start.
You see, while we don’t necessarily see ourselves as the typical “influencers,” there are ways we’ve learned how to make an impact outside of simply rocking the hell out of a wedding day design and timeline. And you know what one of our super strengths is? Making things into the very best versions they can be: from weddings, to tablescapes, and yes, even down to personal styling. So, while it may have seemed a bit random on paper, once we started to dive into this idea further, of COURSE we were meant to curate a clothing collection. Because visual presentation and cohesive curation is at the very core of everything we do and stand for here at Elevate.
Bringing this Elevated Workwear Collection to fruition was not without its challenges (especially since we were newbs), but man oh man, has it been fun, and incredibly fulfilling. Once we started to see our moodboard ideas take on a life of their own, we became that much more passionate about the original purpose behind this idea in the first place: celebrating the incredible working women that we know, love, and well, ARE!
We created this line with today’s working woman front of mind. After all, she’s a woman in high demand – with a rigorous schedule that is asking even more of her clothing.
She is polished, yet particular.
She is confident, but demands comfort.
She is no-fuss, yet she appreciates the finer details.
This collection was created for the discerning woman who is truly doing it ALL, because we are her, and she is us! The Elevated Workwear collection has been our way of shifting the narrative back to us complex women, our purposes and our passions. Things have felt a bit messy, unkempt and unpredictable for us over the last couple of years, right? But that doesn’t mean our outer presentation has to be. Let’s give it up to today’s superwoman, whether she’s a work-from-home warrior, an office ingenue, or a modern mompreneur, and give her the tools to elevate her own look through timeless, classic, and effortless pieces.
