Hannah & Eric's Hyper-Intimate Ellsworth Block Wedding

A year filled with pivots did not stop Hannah & Eric from having the wedding of their dreams. Surrounded by twelve of their closest family members, Hannah & Eric tied the knot in the heart of downtown Madison at Ellsworth Block. The ceremony was made extra special and personal as the bride’s mother presided. Through a series of difficult decisions, venue changes, and guest count deductions, Hannah and Eric chose to see the beauty through it all; and filled their day with intentional, specific details to make this intimate celebration feel grand: from the place settings, to the floral design; even down to the texture of the linens: we thought through it all.

We chose to accent their historic venue (complete with Capitol views!) with greenery and a soft palette of blooms by Briar Loft. An array of mostly neutral textures was layered in to the design to create a purposeful layer of components, while small touches of a barely pink and subtle yellow offered a welcome accent to the soft floral arrangements. One of our personal favorite details of the day was the “cake corner” – Hannah wanted to be sure to give her gorgeous dessert its own moment, and that we did! Lightly accented with a single floral detail, the minimalist cake was perfectly framed by some beautiful taper candles, a subtle stand, and the crawling greenery on the brick wall behind it.

Guests were pampered every step of the way: with a custom menu crafted to pair with an array of drink selections. Heritage Catering truly created a completely unique dining experience. Each of the courses that guests enjoyed was hand-selected by the couple and prepared to perfection. Not only did the dishes taste amazing, the Chef put his love and attention to detail into the aesthetical presentation as well.

The stellar band, Platinum, essentially put on a private and custom performance for Hannah, Eric, and their guests. By the end of the night, everyone in the venue was on the dance floor celebrating and enjoying a lovely end to a very complete day.
