Autumn & Philip's Southern Vogue Wedding

Autumn & Philip planned a luxurious getaway for the two of them and their closest family and friends at the gorgeous Montage Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, South Carolina. Autumn & Philip’s Southern Vogue Wedding was a planning and travel experience that quite literally took us places we never expected, but it was an utter delight throughout!

Donning an impeccably tailored gown by Sareh Nouri, Autumn was the picture of grace in the gorgeous “Ren,” complete with a statement bow, and the perfect “90’s Vogue-inspired” hair and makeup by the amazing team Meg Workman Beauty. Philip perfectly complemented her chic look with a custom suit by Indochino and Tom Ford loafers. Their heartfelt, intimate ceremony set within the beautiful May River Chapel on property was already an experience few in attendance will forget – from the creaks of the wooden floors; to the incredible floral display by Blossom Bay Design surrounding the window, even to the smell of the candles within and the sound of the strings inside, it all came together to create a luscious and romantic environment.

After the ceremony was completed, guests were whisked away via trolley to another gorgeous historic space on the property: Somerset Chapel. Autumn & Philip wanted to ensure that their guests, coming from all over the country and world, were able to experience all of the luxuries of the South, with a few “comforts of home” incorporated as well (Autumn hails from Wisconsin, Philip from Ohio). So, a combination of Whiskey Old Fashioneds and Spicy Margaritas were served along with Tuna Canapes and Crab Cakes, Ribeye Steak & Deviled Eggs. To round out the elegant yet comforting menu: a delicious Vanilla Italian Buttercream cake, complete with a statement bow similar to that of Autumn’s gown!

Guests were encouraged to dance, mingle, dine and converse along beautifully styled communal tables, full of textural details in the La Tavola “Beatrice” linen, hammered silver chargers, cane-back chairs and a variety of summer greens and neutral blooms to reflect the season. Elegant menus and lily-of-the-valley vellum placecards by Plume Calligraphy provided the perfect accompaniment to the guests’ place settings, harkening back to Autumn’s delicate bouquet, fit for royalty.

Guests enjoyed the rest of the evening by filling the dance floor to the sounds of Emerald Empire Band, but the fun didn’t stop there! The following evening, Philip’s father invited guests to Moreland Landing, another destination within the Palmetto Bluff property, for a laidback “Havana Nights” themed post-wedding celebration!
