A Fashion-Forward, European Inspired Editorial Shoot in Williams Bay

The beauty of the Midwest is unlike any other. It is ever-changing, full of surprises and wonder. This is what I wanted to capture in this Fashion-Forward, European Inspired Editorial Shoot. The town of Williams Bay in Lake Geneva provided the perfect canvas to showcase the hidden gems the Midwest has to offer.

Curating the vendor team for the day was so much fun! Starting with Kristina Lorraine Photography to capture the luxury and elegance of our vision. Kristina completely transformed the shoot making us believe we were along the shores of Lake Como.

The stunning fall tones in the warm foliage and abundance of lush florals were created by none other than Renee of Frontier Flowers of Fontana. She believes one can never have enough flowers. Her eloquent technique proves that the creativity in florists is completely unmatched.

Dreaming up the look for our bride and groom came from selecting the high fashion Aria gown from Ines Di Santo supplied by Ultimate Bride. Accessories included an eclectic vintage oval ring from Soha Diamond Co. and a delicate tiara from Maria Elena. From there, hair and makeup artist Jillian Niemann pulled the aesthetic together for our models with an understated and elegant low ponytail and tones from the palette to compliment the bride’s features. The Black Tux’s Burgundy Shawl Tuxedo was the perfect choice to allow our handsome groom to make a statement of his own.

The European inspiration was woven into Kelsey Malie Calligraphy’s whimsical and romantic invitation suite. Julie Michelle Cakes delighted us with a marbled cake with hints of pale pink, auburn, and a floral installation to blow you away.

The tablescape was put together with subtle tones of toffee, barley, and ivory to allow the centerpiece to take center stage. With linens from La Tavola, King Louis chairs from Event Essentials, glassware and flatware from The Festive Frog, and hand-thrown plates from JD Wolfe Pottery, the look was complete.

It truly wouldn’t have been an Old-World, European editorial shoot without a vintage getaway boat, now would it?! Lake Geneva Cruise Line created the most idyllic setting just as the sun hit the horizon for the beautiful shoot to come to a close.

A major shoutout to the entire vendor team for helping bring my vision of this Fashion-Forward, European Inspired Editorial Shoot in Williams Bay to life. I couldn’t have pictured it better myself! We are also so excited to see our editorial shoot featured on Amber & Muse!

XO,

Kelsie
