Though we had only known them a short time, last August on the rooftop felt like the most beautifully serendipitous coda to Emma and Dave’s relationship. These two, coming from entirely different upbringings and spending months apart during school, still managed to plan a simply gorgeous fete overlooking one of Madison’s most noteworthy views, and we were honored to play a part.
Emma grew up surrounded by flowers (her mother is an avid gardener), so she knew right away that one of the key elements of her day would be all of the blooms! We had SO much fun (and a few logistical challenges, to be sure!) designing the stunning moongate arbor absolutely dripping with floral, incorporating floral in nearly every aspect of their celebration, and taking some inspiration from various citrus fruits to infuse some bright and summery colors into their otherwise classic palette.
With the help of Mint & Lovely, we designed a one-of-a-kind suite and day-of goods showcasing Emma’s love for floral, and infusing those fun citrus touches, too! We also had a blast designing inviting lounge spaces with Forever Birdy, incorporating smartly-placed parasols into the ceremony, and disguising a not-so-attractive restroom entrance on the rooftop as a beautiful welcome wall!
Reliving this day, especially as the end of summer draws nearer, feels so right, and just so JOYFUL. Congratulations, E&D, on a gorgeous wedding day, one whole year later, and all the best as you continue to bask in the warm, citrusy glow of marriage!
