Alisa and Tyler had originally planned on a summer wedding of 200+ guests overlooking the beautiful Bluffs of Baraboo at Vennebu Hill but like many 2020 couples, the wedding plans were impacted once COVID-19 reared its head. We had been working with A and T since late 2018, so when the reality of this virus sunk in, and CDC guidelines were enforced, it was a hard pill for all of us to swallow! After many difficult conversations about what to do, and how best to do it, A and T decided to press on with an intimate wedding and march forward with their original date. This was SUCH a breath of fresh air for us. We were experiencing postponement after postponement and knowing that we got to be along for the rollercoaster ride that is pivoting your wedding plans in an unprecedented year gave us hope and excitement. For that, we are extremely grateful.
Of course, there was talk of a Plan B, C AND D, and once we landed on the change of venue being at the bride and groom’s OWN home, The Brewster Farm, it quickly turned to hustle mode. We connected with our trusted partners at Chance Productions to secure a sailcloth tent, lighting and tables and chairs and got to work on finalizing layouts and contingency plans. Our goal was to keep the original vision – organic, timeless and evocative of the rustic vibe of Vennebu Hill – similar to the original plans, but adjust it slightly to allow for the bride and groom’s gorgeous property to sing. The palette was a lovely combination of shades of greens, and soft touches of grey, ivory and dusty blue. Add in the gorgeous and lush greens from daffodil*parker, the wood tables from Chance Productions, and gold flatware and marble textured charger from Event Essentials, and the vision was brought to life beautifully.
Alisa and Tyler’s wedding day felt so special and unique. It’s always a fun challenge to create an event from the ground up like this one, but A and T were so accommodating and willing to roll with the punches. Rain came and went on the wedding day, the dogs, Hank and Charlie, wrestled around for some fun entertainment and the dance party was bumpin’. It was so perfectly them and a day we’ll look back fondly on for many years to come.
Enjoy more from Alisa and Tyler’s intimate wedding, and stay tuned – the big party isn’t going anywhere! We’ll be back at Vennebu Hill with Alisa and Tyler for their anniversary celebration and we cannot wait! Cheers, A and T!
