Modern industrial meets timeless romance…with a hint of edginess thrown in for good measure! Our recent expansion to the Milwaukee area undoubtedly meant a styled shoot at one of the city’s newest venue’s – Good City Brewing Downtown. The space embodies a ton of natural light, a lighthearted atmosphere, and of course, some of the best beer around! Working with an AMAZING vendor crew, we had a fun, yet super busy day filled with hair, makeup, beer, champagne toasts, and one super cute pup.
The combination of modern clean lines throughout the venue accompanied with soft hues and vintage flatware made this shoot the perfect mix of styles. The space itself called for a genuinely fun time with room to throw in some edgy details. The custom leather jacket handmade by Kelly of Bash Calligraphy couldn’t have been more fitting! We threw if over a romantic ruffle detail jumpsuit as well as an elegant lace-detail bridal gown.
Let’s also talk about THAT CAKE! The simple style adorned with (edible) gold leafing and fresh fruit was a show stopper. It accompanied one of the prettiest and most delicious charcuterie boards ever – and yes, we taste tested!
We couldn’t leave out two of the biggest wedding trends – the soft lounge and our furry friends! The sunny day allowed us to set up the lounge on a patio overlooking the Fiserv Forum. It offered a truly spectacular view of downtown Milwaukee. Pets have become another (super cute!) element of weddings this season. Matilda was the missing piece we didn’t know we needed. She popped in to visit us at Good City and quickly joined in on our shoot! A natural in front of the camera, sitting pretty and loving our gorgeous bride was a task she could totally handle.
We ended the amazing day with a champagne toast cheers with our amazing team of vendors who made this magic possible.
