A Flower-Filled Fall Wedding at The Edgewater

From our very first meeting with Molly, we knew planning her and Ryan’s wedding weekend was going to be an absolute joy. We got right to work dreaming up a stunning celebration filled with lush flowers and thoughtful details that reflected their love story and favorite people. With their shared love of lake life, The Edgewater was the perfect setting for their elegant, flower-filled October wedding.

Their festivities kicked off Friday with a vibrant Rehearsal Dinner at Merchant, complete with a colorful design, delicious bites, and thoughtful toasts, followed by a lively welcome party at Lucille with live music, cocktails and pizza.

Saturday arrived with palpable excitement from M&R, their families, friends and our team. Guests were welcomed with bubbly to toast the couple before heading into the ballroom for the ceremony, framed by The Edgewater’s floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Lake Mendota. A custom wooden aisle by David Charles Pro led to a lush floral arch where Molly and Ryan exchanged vows. After their joyful first kiss, Molly surprised guests with a bagpiper who led them to a lakeside cocktail hour under a sailcloth tent.

One of our favorite moments of the day was revealing the ballroom to the couple – a literal jaw-drop moment. And then to share with the guests was an added bonus. It was impossible not to notice Briar Loft‘s breathtaking floral ceiling installation hovered above a classic black-and-white dance floor, surrounded by beatifully set tables and a grand, wooden bar. Guests enjoyed dinner, heartfelt toasts, and special first dances before hitting the dance floor, kept lively all night long by The party kicked off strong with David Charles Pro and the Bluewater Kings Band.

During dance breaks, guests sipped lattes from Crescendo‘s Coffee Cart and visisted Molly and Ryan’s custom dive bar during – an unforgettable design feature by Cedar & Spice that added so much personality to the evening.
