Another amazing year has officially come to a close. And gosh, 2024, you were another really good one; a blend of incredibly difficult yet rewarding projects; the happiest moments paired with frustrating sadness, and as always, so, so much love. Amid the trials, the heartache, and the triumphs, you ushered in growth—the kind that only pushes and stretches us to new heights.
In the simplest of summaries, this year gave us:
- Epic moments of connection and education… truly some of the most remarkable experiences of our careers! We were able to enjoy the magic of Kindred Collective at Santa Barbara in the Spring, worked deeply on (and officially launched!) our resourceful SHOP content meant for couples and planners alike; and continued to reinforce connections and hopefully, inspire, other Midwestern industry friends via our free quarterly “Midwest Nice” webinars;
- Some of our most rewarding and unforgettable project memories to date, while also throwing us a fair share of challenges—pushing us into uncharted territory even after a decade in this business; and
- Reaffirmed that grit, determination, and good old-fashioned hard work remain the foundation of who we are, even when the road gets tough.
2024, you stretched us, humbled us, and kept us striving. Amid the highs and lows, you brought growth—both individually and as a team—that felt more transformative than ever before. This year was definitely proof that it isn’t always easy, but it will always be worth it. We are profoundly grateful to do what we do and to share it with all of you.
Now, let’s take a look back at some of the most defining moments of this amazing year – starting with, and forever surrounding, of course, our incredible TEAM! We would be nothing without these astonishing women.
This year brought our team lots of wonderful personal updates:
- Unforgettable travel – from Canada to Rome and Thailand, and so many places in between! Many of us had some pretty epic travel adventures this year, and we don’t see that changing at all in 2025!
- Mallory & Danny celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary + gathered their closest friends and family for a short and sweet ceremony followed by a cocktail reception.
- Kirstie & Jesse welcomed their baby boy, Clark, in mid-November. He’s a smiley little guy and they are so in love and settling in nicely!
- Our very own Katie and her dear Lucas tied the knot this year, and we were honored to both coordinate AND have a chance to attend the celebrations! They centered their day around their favorite people, places and vibes! From a custom escort wall with photos of them at their favorite places, to a custom-made bar, even down to highly curated music, cocktails, and environments to fit certain moments throughout the night; Katie and Lucas created the perfect day, and guests loved every minute of it!
- A few of us got engaged (congrats, Annika, Leah, Jenna, Evelyn and Amanda) – we can’t wait to see what you do with your special days!
We also had so many beautiful moments with our sweet brides. These ladies (and their partners and families) truly shape our business year after year, and we are always so very grateful for them.
Throughout the year, we executed some of our most complex and highly-detailed events to date; pulling off a tented reception for 500+ people, several multi-event weekends with individually remarkable events scattered throughout, and of course, had the immense privilege of visiting and creating at some of our favorite venues, and also getting to know brand new spaces we hadn’t worked in before! Whether it was a fresh design at a familiar venue or a cutting edge creation at a space new to us, we thoroughly enjoyed every experience and wonderful client. We also helped plan one of our most comprehensive and special corporate contracts to date – 2025 will be the year it all comes together, and we can’t WAIT to share more!
Through it all, our incredible “Elevators” worked so hard to bring dreams to life…
… and helped us in give our couples some of the most epic room reveals!!
Last but most certainly not least – everything we did, we did with one incredible group of women. Year after year, we count our blessings for having the privilege of recruiting some of the most amazing teammates in the state, and this year was just another confirmation of that. We got our hands dirty, of course…
…and helped craft some epic celebrations we will look back on fondly for many years to come!
Above all else, as we mentioned, this year was one of CONNECTION, INTENTIONALITY, and CREATION, and we truly cannot wait to see how our hard work pays off in another new year of adventure. Our team will forever be the true backbone of Elevate, and we are always so humbled by the chances we get to craft such special moments in our clients’ and couples’ lives.
