There are weddings, and then there are unforgettable experiences like Julia and Adam’s. Held on an idyllic summer weekend in eastern Milwaukee’s “lake country,” this celebration was a beautiful mix of heartfelt traditions and lively energy. From a fun-filled day in the sun to welcome their guests in true Wisconsin fashion, to their emotionally rich ceremony and packed dance floor, every detail of the weekend brought Julia and Adam’s stylish vision to life.
A Warm Welcome to Wisconsin
From the jump, Julia envisioned a warm welcome to her primarily east-coast guest list, offering them a glimpse into what her childhood often felt like: warm summer days on the lake. Thanks to each of their generous mothers, Adam and Julia hosted an idyllic “lake day” welcome celebration, complete with tasty Mediterranean sandwiches, custom popsicles, and bright, welcoming tones. We crafted for them an inviting and summery palette, adding an effortless, airy charm that perfectly suited the casual lakeside setting and allowed people a relaxing start to an epic weekend.
Keeping it Contemporary with a Vibey Rehearsal Dinner
After the lakeside welcome, select guests were given a chance to freshen up and gather for a contemporary-chic rehearsal dinner nestled in the inviting Gallerias of the Milwaukee Art Museum. The dinner design was enchanting and contemporary, complete with color pops of watermelon and chartreuse and unexpected floral components; a nod to the post-dinner gallery viewing that guests were able to experience before the dance floor opened with some of Julia and Adam’s favorite euro club hits.
A Sentimental Ceremony in the Woods, followed by an Unforgettable Reception
The following day, we were honored to craft a truly iconic wedding celebration at Julia and Adam’s dream venue, Peck & Bushel Orchard. They loved the cozy nature of a ceremony in the woods, then moved up to the brand new “Cidery” space for an al fresco cocktail hour and beautiful reception. Working to bring the outside in, we focused on a neutral yet highly textural reception design, keeping the focus on warm and inviting colors and luxurious components, to make the overall vibe feel like an elegant dinner party with only the closest of friends. As the evening went on, the celebration truly came alive, with a space designed to keep everyone engaged and in the moment. Between a delicious dinner and a vibrant dance floor (thanks to the incredible band, KC FLO!) the evening was full of laughter, joy, and some pretty incredible dance moves.
Ending the Evening with a Karaoke Bash
Though the high-energy reception had to come to an end, the festivities did not, as Julia and Adam invited their best friends back to the hotel for a night cap of truffle fries, craft cocktails, and one of their favorite pastimes: karaoke.
Julia and Adam’s weekend was more than a wedding—it was a beautifully curated experience full of meaningful touches and unforgettable moments. Their celebration is one we’ll be reminiscing about for years to come.
