Early on in our planning process, Hayden & Jonah described themselves as “old souls,” and were clear from the beginning that they envisioned a wedding day that felt like a true extension of them – both in vibe and in style.
Staying true to their wishes, we crafted a tented wedding on their family property that felt like the perfect combination of their chic minimalist style and the cozy warmth that a fall farm wedding depicts. Aiming for a combination of “black tie meets backyard,” we paired a clear-top tent with warm harvest tables and textural linens, and chic ikebana floral centerpieces with cozy benches and Hayden’s mothers’ handmade blankets. A few extra special touches were also incorporated – from handwritten thank you notes to each of their guests, to a special “mindfulness moment,” which led guests down to the creek at the back of the property and gave them a quiet moment to soak it all in.
Witnessing these two stand in front of their dearest friends and family at a property that meant so much to them was a highlight of our season. Private property weddings always require just a bit more planning and preparation than events within traditional venues, but seeing it all come together on a crisp fall day was absolutely worth the additional work.
Hayden and Jonah, thank you for your love and trust, and for allowing us to be a part of such a marvelous and memorable journey. We wish you and your families (and the dogs!) our very best!
