Heather & Gordon's Tented Lakeside Madison Wedding Day

Heather and Gordon met in Pennsylvania where they were both doing their residency. They came together over their love of coffee, animals, and nature, which all were incorporated into their beautiful wedding day. After moving to Madison during the pandemic in 2020, Gordon proposed and their wedding day planning had begun.
The day began with Heather and her ladies sipping coffee and getting ready at their hotel downtown, while Gordon and the guys played games on the lawn of Bishops Bay and enjoyed a lunch out on the patio. The weather was perfect for a September wedding, and everything inside the tent came together beautifully. Briar loft and Chance Productions designed a gorgeous ceiling including a sea of lights and greenery that put everyone in awe as they walked into the space. As guests arrived they were seated on the lawn space overlooking the iconic Lake Mendota, and on a day like that, there is nothing better. Guests then moved to the cocktail hour where they were treated to signature cocktails of a margarita and brandy old fashioned, and boat rides on the lake. Heartfelt speeches and songs were given during dinner, along with special dances. When the band, Platinum, took over, the dance floor was the hot spot for the rest of the night!

Nature, Kona, and coffee were just a few of the couple’s favorites that gave a personal touch to Heather and Gordon’s Tented Lakeside Madison Wedding Day. With many out of town guests, Heather and Gordon wanted to showcase some of the beauty of Madison, and really did so with selected a stunning venue such as Bishops Bay. Every part of the day was well-thought out and made for a lovely experience.
