Molly & Kraig’s Stately and Flower-Filled Affair

Molly and Kraig’s love story is truly transcendent. As a physician assistant in urgent care who has been on the front lines throughout the entire pandemic, Molly showed so much strength through every twist and turn in the plans. After making the devastating decision to both postpone their date AND cut her guest list in half, we asked Molly what she was most looking forward to when the day they could say “I Do” finally came, and she so purely looked into Kraig’s eyes, pet their pup Lola and said “I just truly am so thrilled to be marrying THIS man.”

Well, marry her man, she did, and in impeccable style, we might add! Molly and Kraig recited their vows (presided over by Molly’s very own father, Pete) in the stately Great Room at The Howard in Oshkosh. We absolutely loved styling this space along with the uber-talented team at Ebb & Flow – the soaring wooden beams on the ceiling and the massive fireplace and hearth, all covered with Sunny’s impeccable floral arrangements, made for an impressive backdrop for these two as they said yes to forever in front of their closest family and friends.

After their ceremony was over, Molly, Kraig and their stylish wedding party took a trip to the neighboring The Paine Art Center and Gardens for an elegant photo session, while guests were invited to sip Old Fashioneds and freshly-squeezed lemonades during cocktail hour. Once the wedding party returned, the ballroom opened, and guests were welcomed to their seats with an elegant (and enormous!) escort card display using vintage mirrors collected by Molly and her mother over many years.

Throughout all of our design conversations, Molly and her mother kept coming back to their mutual love for lush floral, and the perfectly mauvy/muddy neutral of Molly’s varied bridesmaids’ dresses. So, as we were designing the day, we wanted to choose similar neutrals that would both let the floral sing, as well as perfectly complement the gowns Molly and her girls spent years preparing to wear. To bring this palette together, then, we instead chose to focus on textures in a similar “muddy” palette, rather than agonize over getting the perfectly colored table linen, menu, and napkin. And we think it came together gorgeously – we absolutely loved how the fluffy champagne linen of the cake table paired with the elegant shimmer of the cameo napkins. Add in elegant gold-rimmed chargers, minimal letterpress-style menus, and barely-there table numbers and signage, and we think this day absolutely left the gorgeous flowers as the main attraction!

Congratulations once again, you two! It was such a privilege creating this flower-filled, muddy-toned dream day with you. Cheers to forever!
