Julie & Alex's Mountain-inspired Tented Wedding

Julie & Alex’s love for travel and adventure was the focal point of their wedding day. Together with Julie’s family, we helped the two of them create a mountain-themed tented wedding in her parent’s backyard.

Using natural blue and green tones throughout the décor, we found lots of creative ways to make their celebration truly unique: a ceremony backdrop reminiscent of a mountain peak, favorite adventure destinations as table labels, and infusing a more “wildflower” feeling throughout all of the florals provided by Sunborn Gardens. Upon entering the tent, guests were wowed by the lush floral and greenery adorning the entrance. Wild ground arrangements lined the aisle to create a feeling of walking along a mountain meadow path, followed by the pièce de résistance: the peaked backdrop with more meadow flowers climbing up from the bottom.

Following their gorgeous ceremony, guests were immediately greeted with some of Julie & Alex’s favorite drinks. Among the hand-crafted cocktails by Gracious were a passion fruit bellini, tequila mule, and blackberry brandy lemonade. The atmosphere was both intimate and interactive with custom-selected food stations as well as live music throughout the night. Even the short bout of rain that did come that day definitely did not stop the celebration or the fun being had. The drinks kept flowing, music played, and the mini “cakesicles” by Mia Stav were an absolute hit with the guests! Even Alex surprised us with his cake cutting utensil of choice – a survival knife!

In sum, truly every detail of Julie & Alex’s mountain-inspired tented celebration came together to create a beautiful, highly personal day. But, witnessing the power of their love as we helped make their dream day come to life was the ultimate privilege. Your love can truly move mountains, Julie & Alex!
