Lauren & Joe's Modern and Minimalistic Summer Wedding Madison, Wi

Lauren and Joe are that kind of easy-going couple you could spend hours hanging out with, and once you meet their families and friends, it’s easy to see why. These two were raised by caring, funny and driven parents, and the close-knit relationships each of them have with their siblings is really special. The entire day was so enjoyable because everyone was truly focused on spreading joy, and spending time together. It is always a pleasure witnessing the love and support each of our couples have, especially during the messy times we currently find ourselves in (looking at you, global pandemic), and we are grateful to have been a part of Lauren and Joe’s modern and minimalistic summer wedding day.

Lauren and her ladies started the day off by getting ready at Hotel Indigo in downtown Madison. Lauren looked absolutely incredible in her modern Alexandra Grecco gown. We loved her choice of loose curls from Arch Apothecary and her fun accessories – just check out those earrings and amazing heels! Lauren truly stopped all of us in our tracks with her bridal look – an absolute fave of ours! The Bridesmaids also looked ravishing in their clean and simple black midi dresses. Together with the handsome Groom and Groomsmen dressed in black tuxedos, this wedding party was dressed to the nines!

We always love watching the couple see each other for the first time, and Joe’s first time seeing Lauren was when the doors opened up at Blessed Sacrament Church, and Lauren walked down the aisle arm in arm with her Dad. Joe’s smile lit right up.

Following a lovely ceremony, the couple and wedding party headed out to Indian Lake (one of our favorite county parks!) for photos. Our team loaded up the car with some church decor and headed over to the reception location, Vintage Brewing Co., in Sauk Prairie. The party was lively, the food delicious, and the toasts were so heartfelt. Lauren and Joe took a few minutes away from the reception and went down by the Wisconsin River for some sunset photos, and we’re so happy they did. We always recommend building in some time away from the party to take a little time together as Newlyweds and soak it all up.
