Joelle and Jason are two of the kindest couples we have had the pleasure to work with, and when we learned they were getting married at The Loft in Sun Prairie, we were super excited for our first opportunity to work there! The venue has such a cool modern, sophisticated vibe and the ability to have an outdoor ceremony on the roof is the icing on the cake!
Joelle told us right away that the day will be filled with their favorite, most meaningful things. I remember my first call with them and while Joelle was filling me in on the details, Jason was cooking a delicious Italian dinner and their sweet daughter, Eleanor, would chime in every now and then in the background. I couldn’t help but smile knowing this family of three was spending the evening together excitedly discussing their big day with me.
Fast forward to September and I don’t think we could’ve been more blessed with the weather. It was such a gorgeous fall day – the perfect amount of overcast, a nice breeze and the feeling of love in the air. I got to see Joelle before the epic moment that her and Jason joined hands on either side of a wall. They made the decision to not see each other before the ceremony but instead, stand on either side of a wall and say a few words. There was not a dry eye in the room (you betcha I was tearing up!). It was SUCH a powerful and emotional moment and you’ll see for yourself below.
Joelle and Jason infused several meaningful touches into their day, such as the custom triangle arch built by her Uncle and Dad, incorporating their love of coffee and espresso with an adorable coffee bar paired with delicious desserts from a fave of theirs, Bloom Bake Shop, and even built in time to take photos downtown Madison and inside Lucille where they met while Jason was bartending.
Joelle had such a beautiful vision for the day which made setting up and styling so fun and effortless for us. Add in the team at daffodil*parker , and Joelle’s vision came to life! I am so thankful for the strong connection I made with Joelle – she has a heart of gold and cares so deeply about the loved ones in her life. Her wedding day had so much love and intentionality everywhere you looked and we are honored to have played a part in Joelle and Jason’s love story. Cheers, Roeckers! – Kirstie
