This was the shoot that almost wasn’t — but I am oh so happy that it was! The teamwork and perseverance of the vendor team made this shoot extra special. Not only were we a team of rockstars, but the end result has us officially revisiting this gallery the daily – talk about aesthetic! Ariyl from Briar Loft, Jessica of Jessica Bedore Photography, and myself had many video calls, phone meetings, and emails — oh the emails! — discussing our vision and how to make it come to life, all while battling the restraints of Covid. Having been rescheduled multiple times and making several last-minute pivots, I am extremely proud of everyone’s perseverance!
Our main goal for the shoot was to create a cohesive look of our combined styles while showcasing a sophisticated and upscale design. The entire day was filled with purposeful details and nods to the fine arts. We kept the tablescape filled with neutral hues and minimalistic styles in order to let the florals sing. While the elements were relatively simple, they were also fully intentional and left to speak for themselves.
You’ll quickly see when viewing these images that the charm and romance of the Armour House was naturally evident in the architecture of the building and the lush gardens outside. The mansion embodies a unique and timeless essence that is truly breathtaking. With an amazing history (please – go read about it!), The Armour House is truly a stunning venue and I really hope to be back soon!
I cannot thank the lovely team of vendors enough that made this day possible. It was a labor of love, but also a major accomplishment. Cheers to each and everyone of you! – XO, Renee
