Last month, one of our favorite little boys turned ONE, and in true Elevate fashion, we celebrated!
From Vaughn’s mom, Mallory:
Since partying with a one-year old can be a bit unpredictable, we focused on keeping things simple, manageable, and easily adjustable if a certain party animal wasn’t feeling up to it. We kept the party to two hours and decided to simply host our close family in the comfort of our own home. Thankfully, Vaughn was in a happy mood, and celebrate, we certainly did!
Focusing on the theme “Wild One,” I started my planning process by sourcing these adorable invitation templates through Forest Symphony Design. From there, the rest of the party plans fell into place quite nicely – we leaned into the “wild” theme by incorporating monstera leaves and tiny safari animals into the table settings, worked with Bloom Bake Shop and Cookie Clever to create the most charming smash cake and cookies as additional place setting decor and party favors, and infused some final statements in the boyish, striped napkins and gold and white balloon garland to surround Vaughn’s highchair while he celebrated!
For all of you moms planning a party for your kiddos, I encourage you to KEEP IT SIMPLE and focus on only a few key moments that you’re comfortable with! Your little one will remember the magic of the day and the people there that loved them; only other moms will be worried about the rest. For Vaughn’s celebration, I focused my time on only the details and the tablescape – the rest of the party was filled with ordered-in pizzas, messy cake remnants, and making memories while our little man continued to steal our hearts. 🙂
HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY, VAUGHN! We love you so much.
Huge thanks to Katie Ann Photography for capturing this special day!
