Thinking back to Bri and Paul’s beautiful fall wedding, we remember how much we loved the elegant EASE of it all. Nothing was overthought or overdone, every detail that was planned was well-intended and meaningful (more on that later in this post), and everyone in attendance was simply there to have fun and celebrate a beautiful couple and relationship!
Bri and Paul got married on a brilliant early autumn day at an old tobacco warehouse and one of the venues we work in most – the Lageret in Stoughton. When designing at the Lageret, we love when couples allow the space to speak for itself – dressing it up, but not overshadowing its beauty. We think that’s exactly what Bri and Paul achieved here. Not to mention, their day went down as one of the most casual, heartfelt days we remember from that season. We love the FEELING we get revisiting these moments. Enjoy some select images from their beautiful September wedding day!
You know, as detail-obsessed planners, we will admit that lots of times, our focus immediately gravitates toward straight silverware, delicately placed escort cards, or eye-catching bouquets, but looking back at this day, it’s such a pleasure to remember that WE gravitated toward the PEOPLE involved in Bri and Paul’s day, and what a privilege that is! Nobody fretted over the details, and everyone simply stood back and took in the beautiful bride, the happy couple, and the special moments created throughout the day. THAT is what it’s all about.
One detail that was NOT overlooked, however, were Paul and the groomsmen’s boutonnieres! Both Bri and Paul are HUGE beer lovers, so they made sure to pay tribute to one of their favorites (Spotted Cow, a Wisconsin specialty), by placing a bottle cap in each one! Props to Jamae for pulling off this unique and personal touch!
We also LOVED the beautiful fall tones carried through in Bri and Paul’s wedding party’s attire selections. The classic navy and burgundy tones expertly captured the spirit of the season, and the stunning bouquets of white floral and wild greenery were the perfect cherry on top!
After a touching ceremony and a few signature Old Fashioneds from the bar, it was time for dinner in the gorgeous reception space at the Lageret! Remember our mention of intentional, unfussy details? We think these tablescapes perfectly represent Bri and Paul’s desire to elevate the meaningful stuff, and let the rest simply fall into place. Paul’s family hand crafted these lovely wooden table runners, which were perfectly punctuated by simple dinnerware and glass vases, touches of greenery and classic navy napkins.
THANK YOU, Bri and Paul, for letting us be a part of your special, elegant, and heartfelt day. It was a privilege to assist you and your families!
