If you’re in the wedding industry, or have planned a wedding before, you probably know that the season of weddings can be exhausting – ALL in a good way, though. 🙂 We’ve been busy bees around here so last weekend, we wanted to take a quick break from the hustle and bustle to treat our team to a dinner, held at Mallory’s home!
Enjoy some *iPhone pics* of our colorful weekend! Next time, we’re going to bring on a professional photographer. 🙂
As event stylists and tablescape lovers, we knew we wanted to style the dinner with fun, bright pops of colors. The first decision we made when planning for this dinner was of course, the mobile bar. It sounds too good to be true, right? Well, we are here to tell you that it is the REAL DEAL. Borrowed Bar is a custom, self-serve tap wall coming to the Madison area this fall. Craving Spotted Cow for your event? How about margaritas? You name it, the Borrowed Bar can most likely accommodate. Naturally, we chose rosé because, well, it’s summer, and it’s the ultimate accompaniment to a girly party. This addition to our styled dinner was hands down, our favorite part, and we were SO excited to share this with the girls. Keep your eyes peeled for Borrowed Bar’s grand opening – it’s going to be off the charts!
After choosing a magenta linen from Event Essentials, we knew we wanted the tap wall to be equally as bold – so bright orange was the logical choice. We asked Diana at To Di For Baking to whip up some delicious pink, orange and yellow cupcakes as a sweet treat for the evening. The flowers came from a combination of local ladies – some from a prior weekend’s wedding (thanks, Alluring Blooms and Peck family!), good ol’ Trader Joes and beautiful ferns and fillers from Mad Lizzie’s Flower Farm.
We capped off this wonderful weekend attending a floral workshop hosted by Revel and Pollen House. It was SO much fun. All of the attendees were passionate about building unique arrangements and Amanda of Pollen House provided incredibly helpful tips. Revel is a beautiful space to create, play and #hustle. It truly was a beautiful mess in there last Sunday.
