As a wedding photographer herself, Katie had some seriously gorgeous inspiration for her and Bobby’s midsummer day. Set to a backdrop of some of Madison’s most iconic downtown venues, her edgy inspiration plus the amazing architecture of the Wisconsin Historical Society and Memorial Union created a uniquely beautiful day – one any wedding photographer would be giddy to shoot!
As a pivotal planning partner for her big day, Katie was such a pleasure to work with – not only did she have a gorgeous and unexpected palette of coppers, teals, oranges and varied neutrals, she trusted us wholeheartedly to pull them all together! We created a custom copper arbor set at the base of the historical columns for a beautifully intimate ceremony setting, then incorporated those contemporary touches in the otherwise conservative reception space, for a fresh twist on an iconic venue! It was so much fun infusing the colors of a summer sunset into Katie & Bobby’s otherwise classic and historically-centered day.
With the help of Shelby Made It, Katie and her father designed a one-of-a-kind suite and day-of goods showcasing this beautiful palette. We also had the pleasure of working with A La Crate and Event Essentials to design an inviting lounge space, a display featuring custom candle favors hand-poured by Katie’s mother, and the most STUNNING reception space!
Reliving this day, especially as the weather readies itself for warmer, longer days, feels so right and so JOYFUL. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Rose!
